  • 1 pack of Silver Fern Farms Flat-Iron Steaks
  • 200 g small vine tomatoes

For the chutney:

  • 150 g of well-ripened tomatoes
  • ½ yellow pepper
  • ½ red onion
  • ¼ red chilli
  • ½ teaspoon olive oil
  • ½ tablespoon raw sugar
  • ½ teaspoon tomato
  • 1 teaspoon apple vinegar
  • 1/8 teaspoon of smoked paprika powder
  • Salt and pepper
  • Herbs as desired, eg fresh thyme

For chutney, wash and core tomatoes and peppers, dice the onion into cubes and core and chop the chilli.

Put the olive oil and the raw cane sugar into a small pot. Heat until the sugar has dissolved.

Add the onion and chillies, followed by all other ingredients. Cook until it reaches the desired consistency.

While cooking, toss the steaks in olive oil and season with salt and pepper. Heat a fry-pan or barbecue and cook the steaks for 3 minutes each side (medium-rare). Transfer to a plate, cover and rest for 5 minutes. Serve with tomatoes and chutney.
