Finalist, Premier Selection Awards 2016

Richard was born in 1987 in London and grew up in a small town in the Midlands. When he was 16 he started working in a kitchen in a small restaurant in their local town washing dishes and helping out his bother Freddie who was a chef at the restaurant. He enjoyed the challenge of cooking in the restaurant environment so much that he trained to be a chef.

I love using the Silver Fern Farm products as they have great flavour and consistent high quality, which is so important. The farmers and sales reps always have a big smile on their face which is a bonus!

Richard has lived in New Zealand for 10 years and loves it. He says it’s the best place on earth to gain experience working in both causal and fine-dining restaurants.
