Growing up Logan always wanted to be a chef. He trained at Auckland University School of Hospitality & Tourism and started his career at Moka Restaurant in West Auckland.

He has travelled extensively and worked at an award-winning French Restaurant, Le Café du Marche in London for a number of years. He has worked at restaurants in South Africa and on luxury superyachts in Europe. In Auckland he trained under some of New Zealand’s leading chefs; Sid Sahrawhat, Des Harris and Antonio Crisci. He came back to New Zealand in 2011 and gained further experience at Clooney, Cable Bay and as head chef at Casita Miro. He also co-owned his own restaurant The Black Hoof in Wyndham Street. This closed in 2015.
Logan lives on Waiheke and early in 2016 he started as head chef at the new venture at Mudbrick, a specialist restaurant called the Archive Bar & Bistro. Logan’s cooking philosophy is based around using simple and honest ingredients. At Archive they use the best suppliers, local ingredients where ever possible and they also grow their own vegetables and herbs at gardens at Mudbrick
