A Primary Growth Partnership Investment
We are a key partner in the FarmIQ programme. The FarmIQ programme is a broad investment across the value chain which links to our Plate to Pasture strategy.
FarmIQ 's vision is to create a consumer driven, integrated value chain for red meat, delivering sustainable benefits to all participants: farmers, processors and marketers.
The investment helped develop in-plant technologies such as the Silver Fern Farms Eating Quality System®, lamb x-ray and RFID tracking systems and extensive measurement systems in plants to drive processing efficiency.
It has also enabled us to understand consumers in global market through funding consumer market research and testing. Using these insights into what people want has helped us to be more effective when launching new value added products in key world markets.
FarmIQ is an investment from the Ministry for Primary Industries’ Primary Growth Partnership (PGP) fund in 2010. The partners in the programme are Silver Fern Farms, Landcorp Farming, and Tru-Test.
FarmIQ System – tailored for your farm business
Many farmers will be aware of the FarmIQ Farm Management System. It has been developed with farmers to help manage animal, land and staff performance. FarmIQ is the link between carcase quality information and information collected on-farm. The result is a farmer-focused recording, analysis, and reporting system.
If you are interested in getting more from the information you collect, such as more easily reviewing processing information, comparing against others, entering data once and that being used with other software then FarmIQ can help. It’s also a great tool to help keep your staff and visitors safe, and comply with environmental planning. The best thing is a lot of information can be collected on your mobile phone. See FarmIQ for an option that’ll suit you.
